Where is your data stored?
The data you entered in the sign up form on this website will be stored on the WordPress
“Formidable Forms” plugin, on a server at University College Dublin (UCD) in Dublin, Ireland. From
there, your data is manually entered into our offline database.
As we currently use Mailchimp as a way of communicating with our members, your e-mail address is also
uploaded to Mailchimp. Your e-mail address is only used for e-mailing purposes. From there nobody has the right to further spread or use your data.
Who has access to your data?
Only a select group of Bat1K employees has access to the database and only for as long as Bat1K
pursues its goal of sequencing all living bat genomes. These employees are situated at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in Nijmegen, the Netherlands and at University College Dublin.

As soon as you sign up for Bat1K, we will send you our quarterly Newsletter and forward you occasional updates from third parties. If you don’t want to receive these things, you can contact us with the email address down below. We would like to reassure you, that we cannot and will not do anything with your data or share anything about your data without your consent.
